(concurring specially).

I join Judge Randall’s special concurrence in urging the Minnesota Supreme Court to reject the Edmonson and McCollum extensions of Batson as infringing upon the rights and privileges guaranteed by the Minnesota Constitution. I would further urge that Bat-son would survive scrutiny under the Minnesota Constitution only because of the unique duties imposed upon prosecutors in criminal eases.
